Schools
Workshops are an effective way to share common issues and discuss strategies that result in improved outcomes related to the curriculum and emotional wellbeing.
Mandy’s work has assisted teachers and schools in maximising curriculum time while minimising the effort spent on behaviour management. The result is an improvement in academic results. Topics generally covered in workshops focus on:
- Exploring the Essential Skills of Classroom Management
- Examining the complexity of behaviour
- Creating needs satisfying classrooms
- Development of individual behaviour support plans
- Altering attitudes and behaviour
- Navigating conflict
- Establishing effective teacher student relationships
- Changing perceived roles, encouraging sense of worth
- Building emotional resilience
- Understanding and supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties
- Development of a whole school approach in respect to behaviour
An interactive environment is encouraged during workshops and participants are invited to contribute questions or comments throughout. Workshops can also be tailored to suit a school’s specific needs. There is flexibility around the structure of these sessions ranging from 2hrs to whole day workshops with ongoing support offered to each school.
Parenting workshops are also a valuable tool for parents sending their children to school for the first time or managing the parenting of children transitioning from primary to secondary studies.
From a ‘Head of Primary’, “…Mandy has also held a number of professional development workshops for both our teachers and teacher aides to discuss and share her ideas on strategies which can be adopted in the classroom to help improve a child’s social-emotional well-being and academic achievement. Both the teachers and teacher aides found these sessions to be very practical, worthwhile, informative and beneficial to their teaching…” Click here to read the full testimonial.
